Your assignment is to locate a speech for ORAL INTERPRETATION. The speech you present to class should be no longer than 5 minutes in length. Many of the speeches listed in the databases are MUCH longer than 5 minutes, so you can edit the selections for class.

DO NOT print directly from the website, as you are going to edit your speech for time. Copy the speech from the database and paste the information into a blank word document.

Don't forget you also need to select a CHILDREN'S BOOK, A PASSAGE FROM A NOVEL, and a POEM (a published one from the POETRY OUT LOUD SITE, not one of your own) for upcoming speeches. Fill out your ORAL INTERPRETATION PLAN, type your name on it, and turn it in at the end of the period.
